Earlier today I saw a Facebook post and picture from Ford Tech Makuloco:
"there is just something about a clean degas bottle with fresh Yellow P-OAT coolant in it that just warms my heart…lol"

I could not agree more. Regularly I replace the degas bottle on my vehicles. Purchased and waiting to install replacement degas bottles for my 2012 S550, 2015 F 350, and 2019 F350.

I have posted on BITOG some of my degas bottle replacments. One response was it was a flag that something was wrong with the vehicle, that a discolored degas bottle is expected....... I am not from that thought whatsoever.

As you can see in post #23 in GON's "linked-to" thread, one takes a chance replacing any plastic coolant bottle as it may be cheaply made.

I still wish I could find that swimming pool filter cleaner which worked perfectly on coolant bottles.

That is always the other side of the story:

-- no good deed goes unpunished

-- if it ain't broke, don't fix it

How many times did you have to drain and fill to get that bright yellow. Mine is still more orange than yellow after 1 drain and fill.
Who knows. I did the same thing you did on my 2014 Mustang GT and my fiancé's 2017 F150. The antifreeze in both bottles still look orange.
