Ford Halting Maverick Orders (Until Summer)

In the 70's and 80's there was millions of small no frills 4 cylinders pickups sold, consumers liked them and many car companies like Mazda, VW, Toyota, Datsun/Nissan, etc made them. Then over the years the trucks got bloated and the small pickup segment disappeared as everybody chased more profitable models. I'm glad that Ford is making a basic small 4 cylinder truck but them halting orders means they probably aren't prioritizing this new model which has limited profit margins.

Hybrid order from July.
Ahh, yea I wondered. From what I've read I don't think they were expecting the popularity of the Hybrid, or just didn't have a lot of the Hybrid parts on hand. Either way, it looks like the EcoBoost cars are getting built at least a tiny bit faster. Still sucks though.

I had an order in since Dec 17. I haven't heard a thing. I recently found a new Edge AWD for the same price. The Edge has a lot nicer and larger interior. I know I can't haul a sheet of plywood, but I never did when I had my Ram for 3.5 years.

When they announced it, I knew they would sell a ton. When I saw one in person, I knew they would sell more tons. In person, it's bigger than you think. A great sized vehicle for suburbia.
