Our police department recently ordered a fleet of 150 Hemi Chargers to try out. Apart from the fact that many tall officers requested a replacement, blind spots remain a major complaint with the Charger. That, and quite a few required chassis repairs after mundane tasks, such as pushing a broken down vehicle off the road.

The Crown Vic may not be fast, but it sure is a lot tougher and cheaper to maintain. Performance isn't everything in police duty, that's what radios are for.

What brand of rotors are on these vehicles?

Are you 100% sure about that?

My P.D. [cop lives next door] says there is NO PROBLEM with the rotors on the C.V.P.I...In 98 thats when most of the fleet went to C.V.P.I.'s...That problem does exist on the Chargers though...I think they finally resolved that issue...The P.D. has about 1400 cars so they would know with about it...These cops really run their cars hard...I know a cop in Miami Beach and ALL their driving is stop and go and they also have no issue with rotors.

Can you please explain to me why whenever something is posted about Ford you ALWAYS have to come over to say something negative.

I do not see ANY of the Ford people going over to the Honda posts to make negative comments!!!...They prabably want to but they don't.

You know what rszappa1, you can go shove it where the sun don't shine. You obviously don't know jack about cars. Why don't you do the rest of us a favour and stay the heck off this website, since you obviously are only here to bug the living crud out of everyone. Oh, and we do all repair work on our own cars, thank you very much.
