I used to ride my GP-Z in the snow on city streets.

Got stuck in a freak snow storm just outside Reno on a bike trip. We rode 80 some miles behind the same semi truck trailer riding in the dually tire tracks. This was the coldest my hands had ever gotten as I refused to pull over for warmer gloves, fearing losing the truck.

i've done it a couple times and been lucky to not dump it.

it was kind of hard getting the bike through the alley (from the garage to the street) in about 4" of snow.

as long as the roads don't have snow i'll go for it, but this is michigan, and you have to extend your season as possible.

the soundtrack to that video is .5 of the fun of watching it...

I've ridden thousands of miles in the snow. Hands so cold I couldn't open my coat. The leather gloves easily held up to touching the engine to thaw out the hands

I disliked rain as much or more than snow. Rain at night on a visor and driving towards oncoming headlights is nasty indeed. My eyesight and reflexes aren't up to the task now. That reminds me, need to make a visit to LensCrafters soon.

I won't ride a streetbike in the snow, but a good dualsport with decent tires is great.

I used to ride my dirtbikes in the snow all the time in OHIO when I was a kid, friends had 3wheelers and snow machines.

I could dust the 3wheelers most of the time, and keep up with the sleds on trails, but on the wide open the sleds would be long gone.

It was fun to take the dirt bikes on the pond, put it in 3rd gear and zing around like your on skates.
What fun!!

i'm getting a bmw f650 in the spring. heated grips, heated suit, here i come!

i saw a guy riding an enduro here in the thumb about 3 days ago, before the temp hit zero and stayed there.

I used to have a CR125 and rode it in the winter all the time. I had to put cardboard over 1 radiator to get it to warm up and run good. You would be suprised how much snow a dirtbike can go through. We used to ride them across the lake and up the river. It was a blast.

Here's the kind of bike that you need for riding in the snow.

Believe it or not, we may need something like this on Christmas Eve here on the Texas Gulf Coast. There is a 40% chance of snow! Unbelieveable! So much for global warming.
