For those using oil change stickers: be careful where you get them!

Some oil change stickers on ebay and Amazon are actual stickers with adhesive, and these won't come off at the end of the OCI :poop:

Make sure the ones you use are vinyl static cling colorforms that don't have any actual adhesive on them, so they just peel off. Most oil change stickers are like this, such as the ones the oil companies send you for writing to them, the ones you get from the parts stores, etc.

I'm having trouble removing one of the adhesive stickers from my windshield :(
Write it on a piece of painter's tape with a Sharpie and put it somewhere under the hood that is plastic and doesn't get hot.

I hope your not paying for them. I get a handful at the local parts store for nothing.

A single edge razor blase will remove any sticker from glass .

Want some pure sacrilege?
I used to use a DYMO label maker and put 'em on the speedo of cars I'd sell.
Ex: OIL 56.2K
They pop off the clear plastic cleanly
The characters are always white with DYMO and pop against the bright blue.
I'd use them as a "possibly foolproof reminder" the new owner to change their oil (see post 32).

Now, if the new owner forgets the meaning or doesn't know what the odometer is, I can't help that.
Some people are actually stupid, believe it or not.

our oil change stickers have adhesive on them. Most shops in my area have gone from static cling to light adhesive because they stay on. Come right off with a sticker scraper https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/APX...v3LftbGjkpHPz37QcRjw5VNpzvRAzJNIyPfvmP6cyLiso
Cheaper and 1 second blade retraction. Menard's for the win.

I use stickers on my kid’s vehicles because both usually end up needing a change based on time vs mileage so the sticker is helpful reminder. Severe/short trip situations. I track things in the app on my phone but also want them to have a visual reminder instead of depending on my prompts.

The stickier the better on the stickers. You can use acetone (nail polish remover) to get the glue off if need be. It’s only a few bucks for a bottle at Walmart. And if you live with females, there’s a good chance you already have it in your house somewhere.

Good advice, I would get them from Oreilly's Auto & they were the easy removable type. There have been some that stick & need a razor blade to scrape it off. I keep some metal ones & plastic razor blades for different materials.
