I just bought a 2007 Ford Fusion last week and was ready to change the transmission oil, 38,000 miles, to Mobil 1 ATF when at the last minute noticed this FNR5 spec required for the Fusion. I e-mailed Mobil tech and they said no Mobil ATF meat this spec. So I went to my local Ford dealer and bought MC FNR5 oil. It doesn't say synt. so I guess it's conventional.

Anyone ever heard of this number? Any other transmissions using it?

The Mobil 1 will work fine.
Its been mentioned here plenty times.
Mazda calls it M-V not to be confused with Mercon-V.

Good question. On the MC bottle there was no indication if it was conv or synt.Would really like to know.
