Anyone have any experience with these appliances? The wife and I are in the market for a washer and dryer, and the Fisher and Paykel machines at Lowe's seem like nice pieces of equipment. They use a VFD to control the speed / agitator motion, so there is no transmission, belts, etc. Seems like they are a technological step ahead of Whirlpool and Maytag.

We purchased the Kenmore front loader HE3+ and matching dryer from a Sears dent and scratch store in 2003 and are very pleased. I think they are now up to HE4. These units are made by Whirlpool, and the washer qualifies for a utility company high efficiency rebate where such programs exist.

I figured one of the advantages of a Kenmore is that you can always get it serviced.

We considered a F&P dishwasher, but, (you guessed it) got a Whirlpool made Kenmore instead.

I thought F&P was rather pricey.
