I just hope that WM gets the same deal.

First you say it's more expensive at AAP or AZ, but then you say you hope that WM gets the same deal? I don't get it.

Besides, I've never seen 5qt jugs of M1 0w-40 at WM.

How can you tell if those are "full synthetic"?

Only time people truly buy from AAP or AZ is when it is on sale and then most end up getting 5 individual qts which negates the need for the 5qt jug.

Now if WM carries it, imhighly doubt they will price it higher then the rest of the 5qt jugs which would then make it a good deal.

This would not negate the need for an AAP/AZ deal since most do not like only using a part of a 5qt jug and when you need 8, you can use the 5qt jug from WM and then 3qts from the 5qt deal at AAP/AZ.

They are Asian manufactured so anything that can be considered a jug has to be synthetic.

Hey, any chance you could save them for me when you've run through them? I'll gladly pay shipping plus a few bucks for your trouble or could make a run to pick up on a weekend if you don't like the hassle of shipping.

Advance always runs 5qt jugs and filter specials. You can pick up a 5qt jug of M1 and a M1 filter for $32.99 right now. I suggest stocking up. lol

I still have to ask. If buying on sale at AAP/AZ/etc.... Why opt for the 5qt jug over 5 individual quarts.

My original statement still stands unless someone can explain otherwise.

P.S. the additional .1 qts in a jug doesn't matter since most do not need the additional 1/8qt (rounding).

1. Storage space. 5qt jug take less shelf space than 5 individual quarts.

2. Ease of refill and therefore time saving. You open the cap once and dump the whole thing in.

3. Quicker cleanup. You can pour the used oil bucket into the five quart jug in one shot instead of slowly pouring them into five individual quart and inevitably making a spill. It is also easier to carry one jug instead of five individual bottles.

4. Environmentally friendly. Less material is required to make a jug than 5 bottles.

5. Most men like big jugs and some women will pay extra for them.
