I am trying to decide on a good filter for my 09 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It has a 3.8L V6 OHV engine. The filter is mounted horizontally on the engine. OCI is 6K.

What number? I don't like dome end bypasses. If it is available in an Ecore, I would go with an ST or other Champ brand. Thread end bypass and American made by an American company.

I am pretty well convinced oil filters do very little and no use buying a better one. Not even sure the done end bypass hurts that much.

What's your annual mileage?
Do you intend to change it every time?

This is the FL300/PH16 size 3/4-16 thread filter ..the basic one size that fit most MOPAR'S for decades.

Purolator of any color and I believe (not sure), that the premium is now called "classic".

Check and see who makes the Mopar filter. The current batch for my Jeep Patriot are Pure One's rebranded, and I get then cheaper at the dealer which is pretty crazy.

Hey guys...time for next oil change. Any new ideas on filters?

I was thinking of using a Motorcraft FL400s.
I have considered getting a master pack of NAPA ProSelects

Are there any other Master Packs available?
