Filter for 4Runner V6 (3VZ-E engine).

I'm after a "Pure One" oil filter for my 4Runner.

Purolator list PL10241 as the correct fitment, but according to my parts people, this isn't available in Australia, only the L10241.

Is ther eanother Pure One which will fit (OD can't change, due to parephenalia around the filter, and height is pretty tight).

Check with other autoparts stores. If Pureone is available, then they should be able to order your PL10241

Unfortunately, the Oz importer has either stopped bringing in, or doesn't stock either of them.

As of yesterday, my localparts stores can't even get an L10241

Some Wix filters are available here Shannow, although you have to be a bit careful as they substitute Sakura with a Wix Pt. # stuck on the box for some Japanese/Asian applications. Had this happen with our Patrol when trying to find a filter with an effective ADBV.

Might be easier to go OE Toyota ? I ended up doing this with the combo filter on the Patrol, in tandem with a Donaldson Synteq media filter for the full flow.

I used the OEM filter until they switched to korean paper media rather than the Japanese depth media. And $22 to boot.

Ryco are moving to China (along with their sister brands Cooper).

If this is the 3.4 L then the WIX- 51348 works.

H2Guru, it's the 3.0, but that Wix number is right for it also...just need to find one.

Shannow, The Wix-51516 is about 1.4 inches longer if you have the room and are into the bigger is better sort of thing; the diameter is the exact same. Do check wixfilters.com for confirmation!

Just get a Napa GOld series oil filter, I think it even uses that same part number. I use that filter as a oversized filter on my 04 V-6 4Runner, and by complete accident I found out the 51516 is the OEM size replacement for my wifes 05 Jeep Liberty.

Mate, just check where Shannow is from. No NAPA around these parts, and very few Wix and Purolators.

Baldwin list a LF157 for '90-'93, and B1405 for '94-6/'96 in their Australian catalogue.
