Am I doing something wrong? I am putting a lot of weight on the valve cover and rocking back and forth. It won’t go on. I can see the tubes physically digging into the gaskets as I’m pushing them in.

I don’t understand. They get good reviews on Amazon. Mine is a 3MZ-FE, just like the reviewers. Do these look off?

I am not 100% sure but they look correctly installed, the chamfer is on the correct side. They may need to be seated more it looks a little crooked (could be just the picture) use a little Vaseline on the chamfer.

Made the exact same mistake the first time I did tube seals on my Accord. Fought with it for what seemed like forever, gave up, ran to town for a new set and had it done in 15 min.

Are you going to replace the ignition coil connector housings?
No, they are not broken.

Does this injector grommet look right? The old one went around rim. The new one doesn’t fit over it.

Online images I see look like this, but why the difference?

I always lubricate the tubes a little bit and the seals. Then place valve cover on with equal pressure pressing down onto it to seat everything. Also just some unrelated advice for people on car parts. Avoid Amazon for rotating electrical and critical parts. I know it's unrelated but after 28 years of wrenching I see so many **** parts from Amazon

It’ll settle once bolted down.

Sounds like someone has been in there before - those connector housings are almost always broken.
