Fel pro gaskets

I have used Fel pro for 40+ years without a problem. I think a lot of the complaints are from people using a new gasket on a plastic valve cover or oil pan. The plastic warps and nothing is going to seal that.

This has nothing to do with plastic warping.

These are applications where OE will last 10 years and fel-pro will last weeks or months.

I see some people have negative experiences like this and on the other hand some people have great experiences so I don’t know whether they’re a reputable brand or not. Was yours made in China, most of mine were US or Japan

COO isn’t the issue, they’re equally terrible regardless of where they were made.

What do you guys think of fel pro gaskets. I have one for my IAC valve in my 4runner and valve covers for a Lexus I put in recently but I’ve read some posts about people complaining about them failing early. Should I be worried?

Cometic makes the best gaskets on earth but they don't make everything. Start there. If they don't make it, then move to Mahle or other major OEM supplier (elring Klinger, etc). FelPro if forced to.
