Running SuperTech 5w30

Filter bought at RockAuto. My guess is it is like a Casite. OK for the interval I'm running.

No rips or failure in media. Nitrile anti drain back, coil spring, large bypass valve. Heavy base plate. From what I can see glued media.

My guess is that it would be the same as the regular Hastings/Baldwin. The p/n is the same as the regular Hastings (LF) and not Casite (CF). Also it has a coil spring vs. leaf like in some of the Casite I've seen cut open.

This one looks a lot better then the one I cut open. Seems like it had half the pleats that yours has.

Looks pretty good. I agree, serviceable for the oci/fci your doing. And I'm thinking the price was right. All other things being equal or close, the fact that they are made in US would make them more preferable 'to me' than the Pronto you posted. Wavy pleats are no biggie, function not compromised. Would be like the Casite made for.

Not that familiar with Hastings as not readily available in this area, but if the Federated look somewhat different, likely because Hastings makes them to Federated specs.

Thanks for pics.

I saw a side by side of a Federated and Hastings that were equivalent part numbers, and the Federated was not the same quality as Hastings/Baldwin. I think it's the Hastings Casite.

The Hastings Federated AP one I cut recently looked IDENTICAL to the Casite I ran on my brother's Altima-a decent filter for short OCIs, but not really a 5K+ filter (although my brother's looked decent at 7500 or so).
