Government UNCONTROLS are destroying our PUBLIC Schools in Illinois.

Nobody is getting money, the State is late payments on many things, have to get lawyer and sue State for payment!!

If I had children, I would love them enough to NOT free ride on taxpayer monies!!

Neil Boortz said .gov schools are child abuse. I haven't seen a very good argument disputing the statement.

This experience was not only ignorant but pathetic as well, 3 rednecks in a row had this to say but at the end of the day, because the cost of the rebuilt engine was so reasonable, they did business anyways.

Jeez, what is up with these rednecks, are they trying to protect "their" help from getting "used up"? Maybe they want to send the minorities to a worse shop that charges more so your shop can be their redneck secret?

This is a mindset I just can't fathom. Like seeing someone come to the ER after you but being seen before you and getting jealous. BECAUSE THEY'RE SICKER.

I do exactly that, 20 mile drive to west county of St. Louis, the rednecks can't afford to live there, so perfect!

Attitudes like yours keeps things racist around the country, which by the way is my home as well.

Something like 75% of our local district's revenue goes to staff salaries, including benefits. I don't begrudge the teachers that money. Teaching is both a skill and an art that not everybody can do, or do well. I want competent teachers teaching my kids.

The redneck comments are just as racist as comments against certain skin colors. But because rednecks are white no one is demonstrating in the street. Hypocrite's need to look in the mirror to see someone equally racist.

I agree with that, but with their salaries most of the competent people aren't willing.

Paid $1400 for a Kaplan PCAT prep course online, wow the best professors I have ever seen, all in one place, before that my whole educational career I have seen 3 good professors at max, that weren't actually stumped when asked a critical thinking question was asked.

My family members are Doctors/Pharmacist/Business owners only because of the high salaries that can be achieved in those fields, growing up we were told most other options aren't sure bet, and sadly we all are willing to agree now that we are of age. Average Teacher's low salaries just don't cut it.

Teachers were once considered honorable people.....
unfortunately the teacher unions won't get rid of terrible teachers.

Now teachers are considered one step above garbage collectors.

I say redneck to anyone who is "country", I have seen black people who are country as well, maybe I'm using it the wrong way and I apologize for that, but I grew up in a 95% white majority area, I had no issues what so ever, until I met the less educated and less fortunate country people whom I miss labeled as "redneck" which clearly offended you, I should have said IGNORANT people of white decent, would you have preferred that? I don't think there is a way to be politically correct about any of this.

Sounds like the same problem the police have!

The federally appointed educational people are absolutely experts in their field. I can give you an example. There are a series of test given to high school students. Students were failing to pass this test everywhere. The experts in the federal government held conferences and special meetings. Some of these meetings were in Hawaii and places like that where they could better study the problem. They spent untold hours working away at this problem, bringing all their expertise and knowledge to the table. Finally they came up with the answer. Lower the passing score from 72 to 62. They promised based on their expertise and vast knowledge that this would result in more students receiving a passing score. As you can see the system is in good hands and we're getting our money's worth. After this success their recommendation was to expand the federal education system so our children would continue to benefit from all this help.

Haha you are hilarious. And obviously no better then the "rednecks" you speak of.

Btw Doctors, Pharmacists, and Business owners can be "rednecks" too.

That's because it's a kids poem. It doesn't have to make any sense. You just have to know there are people out there that will feel offended for you in case you're not offended.

OK, this is obviously an American thing that I don't get...what's racially offensive about watermelon and Popsicles?

Sorry. The lexicon around here indicates rednecked-ness is something one chooses to embrace as an attitude and not a predestined blood line. So because one chooses that behavior, IMO, it's ok to criticize.

And someone who thinks they're better than someone else and who tries to bully a business who just wants to make an honest buck needs to be kicked down a notch.

Notice what he was expelled for? A highlighted, recurring theme in the news. The kids aren't offended...yet. They're just kids. But the admin-nazis have turned into the very things they screamed & protested about back in the 60's.

They have become them. It's now gone full circle. "We will not tolerate intolerance!" (to their warped vision). The radicals are still that, only now older. IOW, they never grew out of it.

Remember all that was going to be solved by them? How they were out to "change the world?" The problem is they rarely face the consequences of their own actions, ideas, implementations, policies, bureaucracy, programs, etc. Particularly in this case: Our kids do. The most vulnerable, precious and impressionable of all.

Instead of being guided and educated, they're being programmed by radicals!

My, my..what a mess this older generation of radical BBBM's has made of government, institutions, policies, admin., and schools.

The more that things change, the more they stay the same.
