Treehugger, why did you highjack my post? If you have no other argument other than to change a few words in a post "I" wrote, you need to give up your argument. Also,I am a young Conservative and I have a heart. In my younger years I leaned toward the Democratic Party but I became 'Enlightened' and went Republican. The government, contrary to Liberal Democrats, does not have all of the answers. The idea that government is the answer has been the Liberals agenda for years and only grows stronger each day.The Liberal agenda is more in line with socialism and is very close to communism. How is this some might say.Liberal Democrats want to take from one person and give it to another.Communism(Socialism) did not work in the past and will not work in the future. Some may say that it has its good points,it may well have a few,but overall,it doesn't work. Look at socialist Europe, what do they really offer their people? Their morals have gone down the drain, their afraid to stand up for themselves(terrorism)and the citizens there are restricted in many ways. The EU has the authority in the countries that are a part of it.These countries have no real control over their money nor do they have true autonomy. Is this what people want? If people aren't careful, the Liberal Democrats will do just this. The government in the US is already leaning towards being a parliament type,it wouldn't take much for it to be totally that way. Liberal Democrats are the ones that think they are enlightened, they believe that they know what is better for people than the actual person does. As I stated in the 'original ' post, people will believe anything that a Liberal Democrat says, regardless.People have been brainwashed by the Liberal agenda to accept whatever they are told and not question it.They are led to believe that government is the answer to all of their problems, therefore, they must vote for those that will 'help' them.Who are those that will 'help'?,Liberal Democrats. This was typed in a hurry, please ignore any errors.

A reporter asked Bush today if Cheney can beat Bush or something to that effect and Bush said"Cheney can be president". YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! [LOL!] [LOL!] [LOL!] What experience makes Bush such a great leader? Does he realize that Cheney already does call the shots and that his experience is **** poor? PLEASE, he was governor of TEXAS, has his fathers name ran a few oil companies into the ground. Give me a break. [Roll Eyes] (I have to defend the Dems/Edwards on this one [Wink] ) There are some asinine people out there. Bush didn't even know one foreign leader before becomming president and they are asking about Edward's lack of experience. [LOL!] [LOL!] [LOL!]

We don't need a President (Cheney) that is near to needing a heart transplant, but his experiences put him FAR ahead of 1 term Senator Edwards. GET REAL. Dick Cheney: A staff member during the presidency of Richard Nixon, Cheney became the White House chief of staff under Gerald Ford. Cheney was elected to the House of Representatives from Wyoming in 1978 and quickly rose in the ranks of the Republican party; he also served as vice chairman of the committee investigating the Iran-Contra scandal during the presidency of Ronald Reagan. Under President George Bush the elder, Cheney served as Secretary of Defense and played a major role in the Gulf War. Edwards - trial lawyer, 1 term Senator. Tough choice, duh.

You guys.... Blaming everything that's wrong with the world, and yes, with this country, on Republicans or Democrats, or Christians or Pagans, or Jews, or whoever else makes a good target is exactly what's wrong. Nobody has the inside track on being perfect. Of course, someone will pretty soon reply that one party or group or religion or another is less imperfect than the rest, and that, unfortunately, will be par for the course.

As the gentleman who posted above your reply (and missed the point [Roll Eyes] ) said... The fact that I could do that, and still have the post make sense, should indicate to you that your comments were semantically null. That is, there was no actual information or meaning in it. All you were doing is ranting. That may be satisfying to you, but it's not very useful to anyone else... IMHO, the polarization of America that you exemplified here is the worst thing to happen to America ever. I believe it to be the substrate that supports the other major problems that America is so busily generating for itself.

Really? Is this new?
No, it's not new but 99% of BITOG members are conservative so I like to post the other side to gain a balance.

Actually tree hugger, you are wrong.Any one that has their eyes truly open can look at our society and see that the Liberal agenda has caused a down fall in the US.Look at the lack of morals, the lack of respect, the lack of decency, the "do what you want attitude".These are all trademarks of Liberalism. These are the very issues that Liberals push. These are the very ideas that have destroyed our families and that are bringing our nation to a fall. The Liberal agenda of do 'WHATEVER FEELS GOOD' has brought our country to a very low place. If you or anyone else say otherwise, you have your eyes closed.Look at all of the great fallen civilizations of the world, the lack of morals was their demise. This is history. When Liberals ignore the past, history will repeat itself. It will do so by allowing the Liberal agenda to continually eat at the moral fiber of our society. This will lead us to the same fate as the other great civilizations,a fall.
