Growing up, it was Valvoline (white bottle) for a couple decades. Period.
Once I struck out on my own, it was PYB for a decade.
Once I could afford "nice" vehicles, it was QSUD for the truck du jur, and MC 5w-20 for the Taur-as. Or what ever semi-syn 5w-20 was on sale for the Fore-Tore as s car. Gack I hated that car. If I had to do it over again, I would have used sand instead of oil to force myself to replace it sooner. It couldn't get through 6 months without breaking down and costing me $1k or more. That was a "quality is job 1" era car. heh. They did a quality job on me for that one.
Now I'm experimenting. M1 and PU. QSUD is no longer cheap enough to make it a no-brainer.
