My first TBird always got Castrol GTX and a Fram orange can, because that is what the family mechanic always used.

These days, it is whatever oil I find on a good sale, with preference to SOPUS products.

Funny. I used M1 oils for 31 years before hearing about BITOG with outstanding results in many differant engines for 200-350K. I still use M1 with great results and haven't bought into the anti XM tripe many spread here.

Castrol, Mobil and Shell are all oils i have used for years.

Tried Maxlife 10w40 but Clio turned over slow (cold) with it in so went back to Mobil 1 0w40 and issues stopped

I usually use fully synth and thst hasn't changed.

Valvoline is what I used when I did my own oil changes back in the 90s. Don't remember specific reason why but I do remember I considered different brands but stuck with Valvoline.

After that I had company cars for many years and under contract only used Motorcraft.

Used to run Castrol GTX, when I bought my 4runner in September I decided to go with PP. And have since switched my wife's car to PP.

When I was younger I was one of those that believed that changing brands could be bad. So I always ran whatever the previous owner had used. Usually Valvoline, GTX or Trop Arctic as they were quite popular in my area.

So Its safe to say GTX tops the list, and it is probably the most used oil out there ? No ? Castrol shelf at wally seem to have the fewest bottles everytime I look.

I agree, which is cool though, as GTX has proven to be a good conventional. I'd say it's the most used name brand in my area too.

Before joining many, many years ago??

Fav was Valvoline, now I run what's in my Sig.

On my first couple cars I used Castrol GTX. Why? Because I remember having a Castrol branded British Matchbox diesel rig as a kid.

Then I went to the other extreme and used Royal Purple for years based purely on the marketing. For a while I was doing 3k mile OCIs using RP with P1s or Napa Golds! Oh the dollars wasted...

BITOG got me over my prejudice toward SOPUS and others.

Pennzoil in the cardboad can (PCC) with the red ring was my oil of choice before BITOG.

PP and Delo are now my oils of choice.

Subject to change without notice.

Before joining BITOG, my favorite oils were whatever on sale with or without rebate. If it was dirt cheap I stocked up for several years worth of oil changes.

After joining BITOG, same old thing. Cheap oil was and is my favorite.

Mobil 1 was probably my favorite before and after BITOG, especially the 0w-40 variety.

In my slight leaker car though, I've always used a variety of high mileage oils, before and after BITOG.

Truly, BITOG never really changed what oils I use. It did make me think more highly of Pennzoil labeled products, and I did learn about German Castrol, though the price kept me from ever trying it.

It hasn't changed. For over 30 years it's been Mobil for the cars.

I use conventional, Super, in the majority of my vehicles with a 5k oil change.

I use M1 for the newest, due to needing 5w-20.

The OPE usually gets Rotella.

I've never had an oil related failure.
