Hello again folks and thinking bout favorite movies and such, thought I would ask all the BITOG members; what is your favorite movie, sequels and or tv series? I love the ROCKY series, and SUDDEN IMPACT and the best movie I think I have seen in a while is MIRACLE ON ICE.

THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE FOR THE REPLIES ALSO, and have a wonderful weekend!

The original 3 Indiana Jones trilogy, the new one is garbage. Nothing better than the Last Crusade. IMO.

Currently for TV shows: Southland on TNT is pretty good, and then for comedy the show Lucky Louie that was on HBO.

I'm with ya on the Rocky series, as to tv series, I still dvr 2 episodes of In The Heat Of The Night, and 2 episodes Walker Texas Ranger daily, and my wife hates it! lol

DVR it, its on WGN (chicago) daily, 2 episodes in a row, starts @ 11am est

As for TV shows, "Jericho" and "Flash Foward" were excellent and would no doubt still be on the air if there wasn't such a facination with "Dancing with the Stars" and "American Idol".

All-time favorite movies, huh? OK, here's a few:

Excalibur ; ~1980. Best King Arthur movie ever made, period. Beautifully done.

The Man Who Would Be King ; Michael Caine & Sean Connery. As perfectly made as any movie you'll ever see, Connery & Caine are dead-on as Danny & Peachy.

Rio Bravo ; about 1958? John Wayne, Dean Martin, Angie Dickinson, Ricky Nelson. Maybe I like it too much for what it is, no matter. It remains one of my all-time favorite movies. The remake with Bob Mitchum ~10 years later is a good flick, but can't compare to the original. I can't really explain why either, yet it's true!

TV Series; Just a couple.

Have Gun, Will Travel ; Way back then I even had a Paladin cap pistol with the horse on the holster!

They're not all great, but hold up much better than most 1/2 hour TV Westerns from the 1950's & 60's.

'Allo 'Allo ; My all-time favorite TV series, period! A BritCom from the UK that I never saw until it was almost off the air. It managed to successfully milk the same boxfull of gags for *years*! Because of Allo Allo, I bought my first DVD player, after making sure it could be hacked to play DVDs from the UK; and my first DVDs, UK versions of seasons 1 thru 4(at the time, only seasons 1 & 2 were available in USA Region 1 format, at more $ than all 4 seasons shipped from London!).

I'll add my own category: Most Haunting Movie Ending.

Unforgiven ; At the end- the shot of the lonely tumbledown shack on the bare prairie, and the text shown about Munny's mother-in-law who came to visit her daughter's grave and how there was nothing to tell her why her only daughter had married a known thief & murderer. The movie is far from one of my favorites- but the ending is one of the best things I've ever seen.

LOL my boy had his first "thing" for the girl Lynn, he NEVER missed an episode, if i remember right it was on monday nights, wow

Favourite tv series: the new BSG series that ended a few years ago; runner up is Criminal Minds and its new spinoff as the replacement.

Favourite movie: can't narrow it to one. I could narrow it to the new Batman movies with Christian Bale and the original Payback (not the director's cut, which is almost a completely different movie), though.

Modern Family , Fringe , House , True Blood , and all the Sunday animation line up .

Star Trek.

When I grew up, and warp drive still hadn't been invented, I had to settle for my second choice career (after Star Ship Captain) and become a Navy fighter pilot.

But I still would have preferred Star Ship Captain...

BSG is awesome...in so many ways! Great characters, great stories and oh yeah, it's USN aircraft carriers in space...
