This is why other countries should take a hint from 'merika. Consider an OUTSIDE temperature as follows:

0°F |----------| 100°F
Cold-----------Hot

0°C |----------| 100°C
Cold-----------DEAD

0 K |----------| 100 K
DEAD----------DEAD

Arrogance is what makes others hate America. Why must everyone learn from America? As much as some countries can learn from America, America can learn from other countries. The argument is pointless.

0°C, 100°C
Freezing water, boiling water.

0°F, 100°F
Freezing salt water and the temperature of a guy with a fever.

I think I'll stick to scientific standards, not arbitrary numbers that feel good.

The fact that this was posted in the HUMOR section means it probably shouldn't be taken so seriously... Just a thought.

Farenheit and Imperial and US units are not really all that arbitrary or unscientific. They're just not metric and based in 10s.

when people say torque and horsepower are "equal" at 5252 RPM, they are simplisitcally confused by an arbitrarily complex wasteful system.

A kindergarden child can count in tens, pushing them into 12s is silly, unless in deference to our 6 fingrered Anunaki genetic engineers.

So does the role call for the early days of the space programme.

Think of the possibilities.

Projects have to meet kilometer stones.

Joining the 1.6 km high club.

The 30.48 cm long hot dog!

Spare the 5.03 meters spoil the child. j/k

Jules Verne 96400 kilometers under the sea.

Can you lend me a .10 meters? I need help.

Right. Because the metric system is so much more complicated, you know, all those pesky multiples of 10.
Everyone should revert to a system that just complicates things, where some rules make no sense. Like the temp that water freezes. It only makes sense that that temp should be zero, and anything below that be considered a negative however in that American version I couldn't even tell you what freezing is in Fahrenheit.
And 16 ounces makes a quart,or is it a pint?
The only thing that makes sense to me is the fluid measurement of gallons and that it takes 4 quarts to make a gallon. We use 4 litres to make a gallon so at least we have one commonality.
Hooray

I mean, can you imagine a Mountie wearin' a forty liter hat?"
