have read where some people use a larger oil filter than the standard size.
these are the EaO oil filters i use.
EaO 57 - dodge stratus
EaO 42 - dodge intrepid
EaO 13 - nissan pathfinder

are there larger sizes that fit for each one of these and if so what are the part numbers?

do you recommend a larger oil filter than stock?

In your location, where it doesn't get too cold it shouldn't be a problem if there is sufficient room.
Up here it gets quite cold, and since there is no heat applied to the filter I think it is a major bottleneck during cold start-ups. At below freezing temperatures I noticed the engine labored quite a bit longer when I had an oversized filter, so I switched back to a regular size. Oil is just too thick in there when it gets cold, at least on my engine anyways,

but that may not be an issue for you.

The first two are both 3/4-16 thread filters. Your oversize options are numerous depending on your physical dimensional limitations.

Eao57 is a PH3614 size filter ..longer would be an FL400S or Eao34 If you can go wider ..then your Eao42 will work there too.

If you can go longer on your intrepid ..then the Eao15 is your filter of choice. If you have the room, you can use that on your stratus too. The gasket is within a mm or two of each other (essentially identical) and only the can size is varied.

I'm numb on the metric stuff since I don't have anything in metric.
