Has anyone used Advance Auto's 50/50 universal antifreeze? The container says that it is good for all vehicles and compatible with all colors of antifreeze. It is rated for 5/150,000 miles. Wanted to know if it is good or not. TIA

I've used their 100% stuff, watered down on site, and had no issues. Haven't gone the full 5/150 yet of course.

Same brew as SuperTech 5/150 All Makes - made by Prestone division of Honeywell. Only the jugs are different. It's a "dexclone" (unlicensed DEX-COOL but dyed green instead of orange and without paying GM to advertise using that name). I'm past 27 months with the SuperTech in my '03 Sonata. Engine ran cool this past summer in inland SoCal with A/C always set to arctic blizzard mode and the coolant is still the same clear green that it went in as. As long as you don't have a leaker, it's a good fit. Otherwise go with traditional silicated "green" or G-05.

I used it this weekend in my Mom's Buick. For $7.88 a gallon, its a good deal.Added some Bars leak for good measure

Always look forward to your answers here Ray. Thanks.

I put it in (Advance Auto) even though I am not totally trusting the DexCool. I'm thinking when I had my heater core leak with DexCool in my 01 Sentra (Non pressurized surge tank) that the waterpump lubricant I put in was the culprit. Possible?
