ever use eventbrite or paypal for their club?

I'm the treasurer for an adventure guides group and would like to have some type of online service to collect money for events. any suggestions? anyone use eventbrite? how about successfully using paypal for a non-profit? I tried and setup the paypal account - but unfortunately listed us as "non profit" (which we are) but that triggered an automated request for an avalanche of supporting documentation that does not line up exactly (bank account is in our former treasurers name altho the statements are mailed to me; need a letter of "non profit" that matches the address on the account (the ymca is our non-profit "parent" and their address certainly does not match the one on our bank account!)
