Nothing in it what??
From their website it states:I'm surprised it has no detergents or aw additives like dominator. Nice viscosity though. Thank you for the VOA.
Nothing in it what??
Where's the beef?
This ECHO 2-cycle is a 30 grade oil. It is a mixture of synthetic and conventional base oils with various additives. It's a relatively thick Full Synthetic with very high TBN. In 2-stroke oils higher viscosity also mean better lubrication like 4-stroke oils.
It's the combination of base oil viscosities and additives that gives a 2-cycle oil its final viscosity. The racing 2-stroke oils are Full Synthetic equivalent to 40 and even 50 grade oil.
It's the combination of base oil viscosities and additives that allow up to a 100:1 mix ratio.Amsoil Saber viscosity at 100*C is the same as 40 grade oil and that allows some people to run it at 100:1 ratio.
Would there be any anti-wear additives that can't be seen with this VOA?
No, but the addition of PIB for clean burning helps. If not, could we conclude this oil mostly relying on higher viscosity to reduce wear?
The formula uses various solvents to promote miscibility.Lastly, the higher viscosity might affect miscibility. Does anyone who using the oil see problems mixing this oil at lower outside temps.?
I've been having fantastic results with STIHL ultra full synthetic. I see no reason to buy anything else.
RedmaxWhat brand and models of equipment? Thanks
Walmart sells VP racing premix. red armor premix should be at home depot.I rarely, rarely use the blower - I can’t find Red Armor pre-mix so I’ve been using Husky XP. My dad gets TruFuel which I have to dump into the car, our blower will sputter and stall on it. It starts every time and runs much better on Husky XP - Ace has Stihl Motomix, but I’d rather go with JASO FD oils.
