I luv my union and thank them everyday. Retired 12 years married both of us get scripts with a primary and secondary insurance 90 day under $5. Specialists 0 copay, as far as doctors 0. Went to emergency room had a stent 0 copay
Of course you had union dues to factor in to this health insurance.I luv my union and thank them everyday. Retired 12 years married both of us get scripts with a primary and secondary insurance 90 day under $5. Specialists 0 copay, as far as doctors 0. Went to emergency room had a stent 0 copay
Yeah, it's frustrating. Fighting cancer is bad enough. They give you My Chart tools but then they don't work. My Chart said to log in when you get to the hospital so they will know you're there. That didn't work, either. It's 2023. This technology should work near perfectly by now.The hospital spends millions of dollars on the EHR every year and can't have MyChart work correctly?
Dues are cheap $25 monthOf course you had union dues to factor in to this health insurance.
I have an advantage plan. $20.00/Doctors-$40.00/Specialist. Scripts are $5.00 then after a low deductible (which I met) they are free for tier one drugs.
Isn't going to break the bank and I didn't pay union dues-ever.
Do you have a monthly deduction from Medicare for insurance ?Dues are cheap $25 month
Then there are assessments 3.5% of gross. This runs the union pays all officers, staff , buildings medical ,training and offices. We have health center with 7 physicians cover 8 specialty area of medicine. Being retired these costs no longer have to pay. Just are very reasonable health insurance and medicare.

You must live in a high STD area. The highest risk group are the retirees since the advent of the blue pills.Man dig a big hole and miss all the good threads.

No gun question (was actually expecting it)
But the sex one was EXTREMELY detailed, TMI to post on BITOG, I mean stuff about youwho in wow place and ain't no sun shining and beyond. Say where????
I didn't answer any of it. It didn't make me.
I took it to mean his union retirement insurance alone, nothing to do with Medicare.Im confused and do not think I am understanding and getting all the Union talk in here.
Im curious what you pay for Medicare if you are a retired Union worker. Kind of simple request to understand what you are talking about.
Everyone gets free Part A hospitalization. Then most people have another $164 taken out of their Social Security Checks for Part B which is pretty much everything else except for Dental, hearing, vision, and drugs. Most of these people then get Part G or N and a drug plan Part D for another additional $200/$225 a month total (rough numbers, all plans are different companies) that covers everything at roughly 100% and no deductibles so your looking up to $400 a month
Typically these plans do not include dental, vision, hearing.
or the other option is an Advantage C plan at zero monthly cost to $30 a month plus that $164 taken out of your social security check that covers all the above with no deductible but you do cost share and if gravely sick can hit out of pocket expenses of $3000 to $8000 depending on what plan you pick. You really have to be sick to hit that out of pocket limit though. Example the retail cost of my care last year was I think close to $130,000 and I paid less then $1000 out of pocket, in the meantime I was given $400 for over the counter products that year and they paid a $1,200 gym membership for me so my net cost was still zero.
Im just trying to understand how a union works. I am assuming at the very least you have to have that Social Security cost of $164 a month being taken out?

My BIL and SIL have some pretty nice retired health insurance from being high level .gov slackers their entire adult lives. Nice perks not for us commoners on our nickel.
Yeah but that is what I would like to confirm.I took it to mean his union retirement insurance alone, nothing to do with Medicare.

I know and think we can blanket discredit “My Chart” as it’s just a program and if your healthcare provider is incompetent to properly use the program it’s not the fourth of my chart. My recent doctors visit was e check in. I made the appointment and had to list the reasons for the visit. My list was annual physical, lab work and diabetic check. When I got inside the room the assistant asked me why I was there. So I repeated what I had put down online. She then told me I couldn’t have the physical and for that I had to reschedule. My blood pressure was up at that point.
She did all the work up and took the vitals. The doctor and his stenographer came in for about three minutes and that was that. I didn’t answer any of the probing questions they listed online.
For all that I got a bill for $93. Medicare paid the rest. The only benefit I received was my annual renewal of prescriptions and the blood work.
They even had my physical scheduled when I checked out up front. I canceled the appointment.
A lot if this online stuff is to save time so they don’t have to ask those pertinent questions in the exam room.
Yes i have $164 taken out of my pension along with $300 for medical for the wife and i. 0 copays, most 90 day scripts under $5, glasses at reduced prices ,$10 eye checkups, dental two cleanings a year $1500 for fillings and crowns and medicare is managed by united health.Im confused and do not think I am understanding and getting all the Union talk in here.
