I haven't driven my car for over 2 years. Working on bringing it back on the road, and planning a coolant, ps, atf, engine, brake works. Had a question around fuel. It sat since Sep 09 on a full tank of gas, and over the last few days, is down to half tank. It hasn't really behaved any differently now that it had before. I've always filled the cheapest gas, rarely at Shell or Exxon or Mobil, and never used an additive such as Techron. If there are deposits in the fuel system, would it be useful to fill a bottle of Techron concentrate when the fuel is very low and revving it at 3000 or 4000 rpm till the fule runs out, so that it gets consumed and does what it is supposed to do, and then fill it with Techron and full tank of regular fuel? or will this do more damage than good and best to follow directions that were meant for regular running cars? Car has 119,000 miles now, and am planning on keeping it.I am in the north east. Suggestions appreciated.
