Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere, but I cannot find it. I have a DriveWorks filter from mid-2011 in my stash, and I would like to know how to decipher the date code, as the age will dictate which filter I use next. Any info would be appreciated. FWIW, this is a white filter that looks like a Purolator clone. Not sure if they look different nowadays.

This is printed on the can: 01111189553

They have been discontinued so they sure look different nowadays.

Well if you don't use it, at least cut it open. Don't just trash it.

However I don't think there'd be any problem with using it.

Sorry, I don't know how to decode the date code.
