What if any product can I use to keep my DPFE and EGR valve ports, lines, and themselves clean. I drive a 2000 Ford Ranger and few weeks back I had the dreaded DPFE sensor that goes bad and makes your truck run like crap. I replaced it, and when I pulled the vac lines off the sensor the sensor look pretty carbonized up. People has also said the EGR valve lines could get the same way.
My question: Is there a product that I can be running that will help keep those lines to the EGR and DPFE clean? Synpower Fuel System Cleaner? Or fuel power? Anything? Any brand of fuel system cleaner will work for me as long as I can get it. I heard Regane is pretty good? I always try to pump 87 regular from a reputable station like Shell is my favority and then Chevron then BP/Amoco.
HELP!
