Time to "clean-up" my Saturn...

In preparation for the upcoming smog inspection, and as part of the 90k service, I am planning to clean the following components: engine lubrication system, combustion chamber, rings, fuel system, EGR, and throttle body. I’ve never attempted to clean these components before, so I’ll be needing assistance from the experts on this forum for the exact “how-to” procedure, and products I should consider using.

At the present time, here are the procedures and products I’m planning to use to accomplish the various tasks. Please assist me by suggesting better and/or alternative cleaning procedures and products to use.

Rings- Add two ounces of SeaFoam to each cylinder, and soak overnight before doing several full throttle runs. I’ll be doing this with the old spark plugs.

Combustion Chamber- With a hot engine upon the completion of the “ring cleaning,” I plan to vacuum feed eight ounces of SeaFoam into the intake manifold and valves using the PCV line at idle. After feeding in the SeaFoam, I will immediately “kill” the engine and allow the SeaFoam to soak for at least 15 minutes, followed by several full throttle runs to burn off the SeaFoam.

Engine Lubrication System- Add eight ounces of SeaFoam to the crankcase before beginning the Ring and Combustion Chamber cleaning. After the Ring and Combustion Chamber cleanings are complete, I will change the oil/filter and add Auto-RX at the time of the valve cover gasket, PCV Valve, Spark Plugs, and Spark Plug wires replacement.

Fuel System- Should I just add one pint of SeaFoam to the fuel?

EGR Valve- Going to remove it and clean the unit manually. What cleaners are recommended?

Throttle Body- Going to remove it and clean it manually as well. What should I use to clean?

Lastly, how much does SeaFoam cost? For a pint? For a half-gallon? Where can I purchase it? Are there better products I can use for a similar price? Or more effective products for a lower cost?

EGR valve and TB: use any good carb/choke cleaner should work fine. May want to clean the MAF with a MAF sensor cleaner too, just spray it and its good.

I'd use one can of seafoam, split between the processes and then a bottle of Regane / Techron / Redline SI-1 for the fuel system cleaning.

i did some search on the forum then i had brake booster and EGR suck the cleaner.
how do you "kill" the engine? i see it from time to time on the forum but no mention of process. i stalled my engine about 2 weeks ago in the similiar process, and i am wondering if this is the "kill" everyone refering too...
