I've been told by several BMW Airhead motorcycle owners that I should use this stuff in my transmission and final drive. The recommended ratio is 5%. I can't find a MSDS but Dow's website claims this stuff is MoS2 in a mineral oil carrier and cannot be used with Synthetic gear oils.

I currently use Schaeffer's #267 but wonder if I should switch?

As a fellow Airhead owner (many times over) I have switched to Redline Shockproof Heavy in both rear end and transmission. No need for an additive with shockproof.

Best,
