Does not fram sell more orange can filters than any other brand filter? So, it would only make sense that there would be more complaints. I've used them in the past, I just like spending my money on a better filter.

Doesn't Harbor Freight sell more wrenches than Snap-On?...
Yep... HF's wrenches are still Sub-par.
Just like in tools, Craftsman is about PAR.. there's better, and worse, but it's a solid player.
In Oil filters, I like to set PAR at a Purolator Classic... There's better, but PC will get the job done respectfully.

I think we would all be interested in that comparison. Especially since some of us have taken apart a Fram Xtended Guard and found an especially well built filter. That is the top of the line Fram.

And I read on this board that the "behind the counter" filters made by Purolator...and the Quaker State filter are the same as Purolator Classic.
That's not true, either. The media quality and quantity is diferent than the full price Classic.

Last time I bought a filter at WalMart, Motorcraft was pennies more than Fram's OCoD. Just the silicone ADBV is worth a few extra pennies to me and my engine has enough Ford Ovals and Motorcraft stamps on it that I wouldn't worry a bit about using a Motorcraft if I still had a warranty.
