Well I have some extra oil and oil filters right now. So I am going to donate some of it to a store called Re Store. This store takes donations of all kinds of household items like furniture, sinks, washers dryers, grills, construction tools, and automotive supplies too. It takes their profits and use them to help build homes for those who need them. Really a pretty cool deal. I just have a bit more than I can store right now. I will take some of my partial oil containers to the convience center and ask if they could use them. I will keep an extra quart in the trunk of my car just in case someone else may need some when I'm out and about. Has anyone else found good places to donate their extra automotive supplies?

What is that?

My local Goodwill will take anything, including oil, so long as it is unopened.
You also could post it on craigslist for free if you wanted.

Yeah, the Re Stores are usually associated with the local Habitat for humanity.
you can find some hella good deals. And some stuff priced over new in stores. its a [censored] shoot.

My brother recently bought 2 desks, one, Marvel branded, standard office/cubefarm fare, around $600 new, for $15.(one drawer was locked, no keys, he found the keys online for $14.)
few days later bought a good wooden desk to use as a garage work bench for $7.50, and a hose reel, and about 100' of good hose for $5.

most of the autoparts i see there are old filters out of someones grandpa's garage, that should have been thrown out years ago, and random alternators, brake pads, etc. out of those same garage's.

there's a guy on here you should check with, Blueovalfitter, he does free changes for folks( Mainly low income seniors and vets IIRC) in his community with donated oil and filters. I sent him some a while back, and someone else on here stepped up to reimburse my shipping costs.
