Donaldson FL-299 Equivalent with Synteq Media!

I emailed Donaldson to find out if they make a FL-299 equivalent with the Synteq "Endurance" media, and they do!

Here's what the Donaldson tech wrote to me:

The Donaldson cross to a FL299 is a P554407. It has the Synteq media, anti-drainback valve, and a bypass valve with an 8-11 PSI setting.

Interestingly, when I had searched Donaldson's online catalog, I had used the Wix 51773 for cross-reference purposes, and it turned up the P550299. Using the FL299 just now, I got the P554407.

I'm gonna get me one of those bad boys and cut it open!

FL788 is a foot note on one of those filters. Interesting ....this crosses to a 51714 in Wix
