Does Used Oil on Skin Really Cause Cancer?

I'm just a DIYer so I'm only in oil about a dozen times each year with my car and some lawn & garden equipment.

I'm old school. I go bare back ... or au naturel ... or red handed.

I do wash up thoroughly though, can't stand to have hands which are really dirty ... or smell of used oil.

It just ain't a DIYer project without dirty nails and the occasionally skinned knuckle.

I reserve gloves for outdoor work 40F and below. I just don't like the loss of "feel" for what I'm doing.

I'm another who uses gloves to do oil changes, usually plastic gloves that a gardener would use though i do use the throw away latex ones sometimes.Even if used oil is harmless, with gloves on either way its not a problem.

No gloves for me.. Makes my sandwiches taste so much better when im done changing the oil. I don't use em for the simple fact that I dont get REAL messy when I do it and it only takes a couple quick seconds every 3 months.
