I don't understand.. here is the definition.. you pretty much described it but if someone says it to you in person... you would kill them?Man everytime I curse they're up my butt about it. Call my mother gullible to my face and im likely to snuff out your lights.
What state DMV allows one to operate a car given those factors? I have family members who have relatives with similar issues and they reluctantly took steps have the DMV revoke a drivers license. She's very disabled, shes deaf, blind in one eye, can't talk and when texting me she gets very confused when I begin asking questions. Honestly it seems to get worse with age.
“………Car dealers are not in the business of doing mental acuity tests of their customer. If the credit score comes back good, they send it.”

I think this thread got confused real fast by the initial info not being sufficient.
A used chevy from a kia dealer that offers a dealer "warranty" that requires work to be done at that dealer.. This in itself is pretty common at scumbag dealers and 1 step away from a scam.. Typically they would have a set of crooked calipers to show you your brakes are worn out.. when they arent etc. To milk you for more $$$.
You need to know the loan term length in order to properly compare the final costs. A monthly payment alone is not a good indication of anything.I just know my ex rolled off a mazda dealer lot for $500 a month with poor credit and no down payment. 2022 CX5 in July of 22. Something doesn't make sense, my mom had good credit, no down payment and got a car 3 years old and is still paying around the same amount.
Yeah, no disagreement from me on that one.Car dealers are not in the business of doing mental acuity or ethics exams of their salespeople and service writers, either.
That’s why these issues arise.

I'm aware. But when I'm in a bad mood tit for tat sounds fun.Calm down Yosemite Sam, Making such threats is also uncalled for!

Have a shadetree mechanic or DIY no record they can findProbably because this network of dealers keeps computer logs of all maintenance done to a customers vehicle. I'm pretty sure they all do.
It’s her right to do that as frustrating as it is.She ran off and got it in her own instead of waiting for a family member to come along.
She's capable of living on her own.In that case, you (or some family member with her best interests at heart) needs to get involved in her day-to-day care. Or get her into a facility that can and will take care of her. It's a very difficult road ahead, but as her Son you are morally obligated to help. IMO.
If the manufacturer provides the service for free they can specify only the dealer does the work and uses OEM parts. So a few months back my mom purchased a 2021 Chevy Equinox with the 1.5l turbo motor. My mother is mentally handicapped and deaf but is still able to drive. I would've gone with her to purchase the vehicle but she was insistent it was done on her time. This dealer got her to agree to 500 dollars a month for got knows how long.
She is due for an oil change. I called the dealer and was told they're booked up for 3 weeks. So I started calling other shops and pricing synthetic oil changes, but decided to see if the dealer would allow it. I was told under no circumstances is anyone else allowed to work on the car or they'll void the warranty.
I'm frigging PO'd. Is this legal or ethical?
She probably cannot afford the $40 mandatory oil filter plus labor to change it ( not included in free oil change). Or the mandatory $30 mandatory air filter + labor, or the mandatory cabin air filter...You get my drift?Yeah. I know. But my mom probably never read any of that and now she's on the hook for dealer priced repairs or void the warranty. She can't afford an 800 dollar brake job.
