Do you usually get a tax refund or have to pay

Does that include interest? And how does one overpay estimated taxes by that much? (assuming that's what its from)
They sent no explanation at all and since I'm on extension we sent them money not completed tax forms
I have no plans about keeping it. I'm sure they would nail me big interest.....

I have mine to where I either get back a little or owe a few bucks...under 20 bucks

Extension is until October. Why did they send a check now? You're saying it's a mistake? That's odd. IRS never makes mistakes.

No doubt a mistake.
Or possibly an easy way to soak me with penalties and interest if I kept it. I'm letting my overpaid accountant deal with it.
They could have sent me an explanation so I knew what was going on.

I had a similar thing happen this year. My accountant initially made a mistake. I was due a small refund. Before it was filed he sent me over a new tax form showing a very significant refund. I'm taking it without complaint.

I always have to pay. But this year I got a +$20,000 refund.

I had a large capital gain last year so the estimated tax for 2013 was way too high. That's the joy of having to make (in this case too large) quarterly payments.

My cousin noticed this to the far right. 12/17???
