Seamless to me would include a lag of a few seconds - with my Jeep you can’t even stop at a stop sign in the countryside - kills engine …The RX has it; pretty seamless so I don't notice. Of course I don't drive it much. I think the Model 3 does it?
Th "extra wear" is so small you can't even quantify it.VW has it, it's fine I just don't care for the extra wear however minimal it may be. Both my wife and I shut the feature off after starting the car, but sometimes I forget and I will usually just leave the feature on for the rest of the drive.

Seems the Ford’s I have rented at least wait until the motor is warmed … not all do …I generally like it. However the 2024 Expedition I'm renting has an unbelievably long start time which I find hard to drive with.
