Do we know of any OEMs using a specific break-in oil?

So... The dealer recommended you "not" to change your oil this early? I'm curious as to why they would say that?

Was it because they are concerned about the costs you would incur? Or.... were they saying they have a special break-in oil? Perhaps some other reason?
They insisted it would be a waste.
I am confident all my rings have setaed fine by now ( 1010 miles now).
I want to give it WOT on the on ramps but the 0w-20 weight still gives me the creeps.

I get it! I don't like these thinner CAFE oils myself. Once warmed-up though... a little WOT seems like a good thing.

I'm not talking all the way to redline... but, you know. Compression helps seat the rings. some say it's not necessary, but I am old school and tend to believe machinists and engine builders over conventional thought.

Dump the original fill and give it some beans.
Why would anyone listen to the dealer people? They know absolutely nothing except how to charge you money and make excuses when they screw up.

Here is a very recent quality of work by a Volvo dealer.
