Do I want to go to an Iron Maiden concert?

Inflation adjusted would be fine. I mean I used to pay in the $20-$30 range to go see major national bands at the old Frank Erwin Center in Austin when I was going to undergrad at UT-Austin. The shows that were at the smaller venues like Liberty Lunch or the Backyard were in the single digits or teens.

Every time I look at tickets now to something I'm interested in, seems like they are in the $150-$250 range. There's been a lot of inflation since say 1992 when I moved to this area, but not 5 or 6x worth.

Sports tickets are similar. I still have my ticket from the first Texas-Oklahoma game in Dallas I attended in 1992, in a photo frame with some pictures with some old friends. Cost $25. Now the tickets are $250. I still have my season tickets for the games in Austin, and I've had them since 1996 ($525 for 6 games) but I haven't bought OU tickets since 2013.

If you have to ask yourself over and over again what someone says..it’s already too late. Hearing damage is cumulative, and ultimately irreversible. Tinnitus is a terrible condition to deal with.

Tinnitus sucks. Wear hearing protection
The end.

I saw Maiden in 2017. Absolutely fantastic show. I also Saw Rush in 2015 and a Rush Tribute Band last Friday, aside from heavy metal shows when I was younger. Nothing beats the feel good energy of a good concert. Friday I met a couple that were really nice to me and I later found out they were swingers (lol) but good fun people none the less.

I would say you would most likely would regret missing a concert.

I have tinnitus from a car accident - concussion. Still got to concerts hearing protectionless. Granted I'm never up front.

Just turned 73. I would put my probability of meeting a swingers couple at a Rush tribute band concert right up there with me walking on the moon but hey, you never know. If my wife and I can’t make it we’ll give up our seats.
