Before,

Typical side boslter wear on Honda Insights after 150-200k miles.

The back has zippers on both sides you unzip to give access to the seat back bolts. Don't have to remove any panels or the seatbelt to get the back out of the car.

The seat cover is attached with a dozen hog rings to metal rods below the foam cushion. Need heavy duty wire cutters to cut and remove them to get the old cover off. Replacement is pretty much the reverse,

After,

Less than an hour total.

By the title I was expecting you to have remade the seat cover.

Well worth it. Wonder if maybe swapping seats from donor car would have been a bit easier.

Most all drivers seats will be worn like that. Had to use a passenger seat back which is the same but the bottom isn't.
