Next Saturday, I'll be replacing the rear brake pads, resurfacing the rotors and pressure bleeding the brake system on a 2005 Infiniti G35. I will be doing this job with ByThaBay on this forum, who already has a library of videos on how-to perform various maintenance tasks. We would like to add a video on rear brake service.
As the viewer, what would YOU like to see covered in this video? I want to make this video as helpful as possible to others. So far, I plan to cover the following:
- Proper caliper piston retraction
- Proper caliper bracket cleaning and lubrication
- Proper rotor indexing and resurfacing
- How-to check rotor runout
- How-to check disc thickness variation
- Proper brake burnishing
What am I missing? Any suggestions on what else to cover (or not cover) in the video is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
