Hybrid brakes and calipers

I've pulled the (abuttment clips?) the stainless steel bits that the pads slide on, so as to clean rust from underneath them, but I swear, that doesn't do much. Cleaning the rust off the pad ear side, then file to fit on the pads, is required. That said, if it's all apart and you plan to replace all, a good cleaning makes sense. I'm just not sure what really wears on those stainless bits.

I'd pull the pins and look. I'm dubious that you will make another 10 otherwise, and even then, you're apt to be in here sooner than that.

At least this isn't like my Tundra. When those pads would get stuck... they were stuck with no easy way to hammer on them.
