Do front and rear brake rotors need to be the same brand?

As others have ssid, it would not matter.

I have successfully used Akebono ACT pads and partially coated Centric front and rear rotors on my stable of Hondas over the years. Decent performance for the Rock Auto prices paid.

Centric rotors can and sill most likely be available from supplier inventory for the next year or so.

Wow, that's a lot of companies I didn't realize they had, knew some but then I didn't hear about the indictments either. Sucks for the employees. My brother went through this with a company he was at for 20+ years, bought out by a bigger company, which then went belly up.
