I’m looking for recommendations for disposable nitrile (?) gloves. Please let me know what you recommend.

Thanks!

I use the 4 mil Kirkland gray nitrile gloves from COSTCO for simple work like oil changes and the more durable 7mil Hardy blue gloves from Harbor Freight for lengthy jobs like changing CV axles and brake work involving solvents.

Ace hardware has one of the best brands, Gloveworks. Tough and tear resistant. Home Depot has a spider or black widow brand that is dual layer but they didn't fit my hands.

The orange ones with texture. Like Asstro14 posted. Though I think I have the name brand version. They actually last ok. The cheap ones are almost useless. After blowing through several on minor snags during a job I'll just give up and don't bother with them.

How do the Medicom Vulcan gloves at Costco compare? I've found them to be very durable for wrenching and can be reused multiple times. It's what the techs in their tire shop use too

Same problem here, the solution I use is to wear work/cut gloves over them. It protects them from abrasions and then you have the nitrile under it for chemical, oil, etc. When you need extra dexterity slip off the over glove.

8 mil textured, like Gloveworks sells, are excellent. I also have some cheaper 5mil gloves for quicker jobs. The prices for these sorts of gloves shot up during covid. They have come down some, but never as cheap as before.

Mil count is important. I'm cheap and go thru at least several pairs per day, so I was on a mission to find the best balance of usable for a "short while" (I realize this is subjective) and cost.

5 mil from HF is just barely adequate. 7 mil is good but remember -- I'm cheap.

I found some 6 mil on Amazon that come in boxes of 100 (be sure you're comparing apples to apples) that are perfect IMO.

Gloves are like women: what's perfect for me may not be for you.

It should be noted I'm an hour from a HF so they're not entirely convenient for me.
