Post rusted out after 20 years or so. Mount only accepts a 2 inch OD pipe
No pipe like that near me. If I relocate the dish I would need an 8-10 foot length.
How do I fix this?

Has to be stable in the wind.

Probably the best way is to call DirecTV and have them send you free parts and threaten to cancel if they don't. Tell 'em you can't afford to replace things right now. They might even send a tech do to the work!

They hate losing subscribers and will probably jump to keep you around.

Probably a good idea. I don't know if the dual LNB block even works after falling. Plus I have to line back up to the satellite.
I'm the one that installed it from a kit , but after 20 years I bet they don't know that.

could you shorten it by a couple inches and put it back together?

otherwise home depot carries 2" emt conduit

When we had DISH TV and something similar happened, their guy on the phone told us to sign up for monthly service protection ($7.50), call it in as storm damage or whatever, have their people come out and fix it (including realignment), then cancel the monthly service protection.

Can you spread open the mount a bit and use a 2-3/8" o.d. chain link fence post?
I tried, no go. would be too short for our Rose of sharon tree, only 4 ft left of it, i'd have to put at least 18 inchs in the ground with concrete. Too short. I tried a 2 3/8 post , not even close to fitting as the top of the mount is welded and won't spread much.
Have to return the 2 3/8 post.

The conduit would have probably worked, but i'm past that with DTV.

Thanks everyone. i have decided to call it quits and cancel service. The customer service is just so poor with them, and anything AT&T.

Looking a streaming options, like sling.

From the pictures, it looks like the post rotted off at the ground?

Can you find some larger pipe, that has an ID just the right size, to slide the 2" post inside it? Fix the larger pipe into the ground and put the 2" pipe into the larger pipe. Drill a 5/16" through hole through both pipes, put a 1/4" x 3 1/2" bolt through the hole, and secure with a nut.

Many years ago, when I had DT, I also had a DT person tell me to do the same thing that @doitmyself shared. I actually did it a couple times. Worked fine.
