I've read many complaints of intake carbon build-up on direct injected engines. Some have claimed that the use of low SAPS motor oils will minimize this tendancy due to the reduction of sulfated ash.
I have also read that low SAPS oil are not recommended for use in gasoline engines in the US due to the quality of our gasoline.
Any truth to any of this? My company is a distributor of Total lubricants and I have full access to their synthetics.
