Different TGMO bottles?

I purchased Genuine Toyota 0W-20 from two different online dealerships. One is labeled "Genuine" with PN: 00279-0WQTE (Ebay purchase 2017) and the other is not labeled "Genuine" with PN: 00279-0WQTE-6S (Ebay purchase 2018). Also, the latter product does not include a proper Mobil 1 date code.

Mobil 1 and Toyota said to contact a Toyota dealership for confirmation. The online dealership claims the product to be genuine.

The two products do smell different.

Is this a genuine Mobil product?

Are these the same product?

Are any of you seeing the "non-genuine" bottles at dealerships?

It's been reformulated a few times since it's introduction. The latest iteration has a lot more moly in it. The amount of moly has changed over the years. When it first came out it had a lot then was lowered. Now it's back up again. Use with confidence and start with the oldest stuff first.

OP , use a UV light on the plastic bottle to find the date code and other codes.

UV light worked!

The date code is in small print on the bottom rear, but is worn away on all 12 quarts (1021XXXXX XXXXXX XX1662)

Also it does say "GENUINE" on the black label just not above the TOYOTA name on the neck of the bottle
