Of course, I've read about some properly built and incredibly fast ones in truck magazines. How many in Saskatchewan will be "properly built" though?

I've seen one Dodge Cummins in about the last ten years that seems to have been built right, but I didn't see it for long, I tell you. I saw him take off at a light with no muss or fuss, and it was a dually, too. He didn't leave a lot of smoke, either. Usually, the custom jobs here can't do much more than create a lot of smoke and noise, all the while accelerating at a glacial pace.

I have a tuner for my Dmax. It makes an amazing difference. I doubt that it makes it into a racer, it's still a 6000 pound truck!

I have seen some very credible diesels down here, they do not have to smoke to make serious power. You need incredible grunt to move a huge truck that quickly...

Notice:

If you are posting youtube videos and they have been removed, its due to you not following the correct way to post them. There is a thread on how to in this section of the board.

Bill

For you guys its diesels, the kids here rice out compact vehicles with the most irritating [censored] cannon on ebay. Rolling coal? More like how long I can stay in vtak lol.

I have seen some significant results from them, too. I just remember the sight of that Cummins taking off years ago - it wouldn't have been far behind my Lightning had we raced.

Im not going to read this whole thread (stopping att he end of page one) But let me tell you all you dont know how bad it can get untill you live in Terre Haute Indiana.. who plays host every year to the http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=AkcnG.Th28RQprUAnk3Nyc2bvZx4?fr=yfp-t-900-s&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&p=scheid%20diesel%20extravaganza

For one weekend every year they come from all over the USA to our town and WE HATE IT.. they have zero respect for law enforcement and there are videos all over youtube.. They trash our town and disrespect anyone else on the road.. They especially like lineing up 3 wide down our main drag through town smoking everyone out.. The powers that be in this town are trying to get the show moved outside of city limits, its currently held at the fair grounds (middle of town) The $$ brought to town is the ONLY reason it still happens, that weekend every hotel and every resteraunt make monster killing on inflated diesel weekend room prices.

Ever hear of "bottle girl" yeah, that's what happens when these guys take over Burlington Coat factorys parking lot every year..

were talking 700 up to maybee a couple thousand or more of these show diesel trucks invading our town.. there bloody everywhere..and there are normally a full load of people in each truck.. Its a big lawless weekend and a HUGE show, we had our police force along with county and state up the presence while there in town and it didnt matter.. Our city Police have had to use tear gas on them before for refusing police orders etc.. You cant hardly imagine how bad it is here when the diesel show is in town.. there is a constand cloud of black soot lingering over half the town and these guys turn our whole town into their personal playground.. Its not funny and its on the news for a few days every year after its over talking about what criminal activity has happend, how many were arrested, etc.. but we continue to host this mess.... money talks.

We had somewhere in the neighborhood of 75-90 marked and unmarked all over this town, it helped but much more is needed.

Some state DMV's consider this information private and others consider it a matter of public record.

In what states is that considered public record?

You use to be able to easily get an address at the DMV from a plate number in Ohio up till sometime in the mid 1990's. That's when it was changed because all of the hysteria about violence against women and potentially being stalked around the time.
