the spreadsheet shows that someone knows how to use google docs and write stuff down. that is all it shows.

I guess that goes for every metric ever produced in the world.

Should take your own advice.

+1000 Zee0Six. He should take a peek at the "torn ones" I posted. Sad that most MC filters like the FL-910S I'll occasionally use appear fine. Dunno

If I was cptbarkley; I'd have some RESPECT for a senior member and guy that knows more about filters than I'll ever know

Just my mechanics opinion

I never said it wasn't a problem. It certainly is and Purolator needs to get their act together.

I agree with the fact we really don't know the real "failure rate", but all I'm saying is there's been enough reported data just on this website to see it's way more than just a few random failures. Enough reported failures to stay clear of using them anymore for the majority of filter buyers on this forum at least (ie, those who know what's going on with Purolator quality).

Absolutely. A failure rate that's noticeable by us is what I'd consider too high. In the end, as much as I like Purolator and wish the problems were solved, it's not going to matter one iota to me. Purolator got ridden out of town on a rail from Walmart Canada and there are very, very few other places in Canada to get the products.

Of course, it was their own fault. They have essentially zero product recognition in Canada and then try to displace Fram in Walmart Canada in one fell swoop. By trying to do so, they alienated every other Purolator supplier in Canada by not supplying them with needed product. That's one heck of a good exercise in logistics.
