But what is your sample size and mileage duration? I see that you have 180k on your truck, how many ATs and how many of those mailes have used multi-spec fluids?
A little over 150,000 miles. Since the first scheduled service at 30K the trans has seen Mobil 1 ATF, and now Red Line D4 ATF exclusively. It still shifts and behaves like it did when new, if not better.

Given the rather poor lifetime of ATs in general
Well maintained 4R70Ws & Es seem to last a good long time, barring a defecting sun gear weld which seemed to be something of a minor issue from 2000-2002.

Im not sure that one can easily/adequately discern a difference, but I sure dont want to bet a $3k rebuild on it...
One of my best friend's is a Ford tech, I can have my 4R70 rebuilt for about $200 using all new OEM Ford seals, gaskets and friction materials, assuming I don't have a converter issue which would add another ~$200.
