DeWalt 20V battery cracked open....now what

The case on this battery cracked open as the screws that hold it together failed. The internals are completely intact and unaffected.

Would you feel safe using an epoxy to put the case back together? I just don't know.

Call dewalts customer service number. They tend to be more commercial oriented and may replace it free of charge.

I don't know the date. Maybe 4 years. It did not fall as far as I know.

No need to switch colors, give DeWalt a shout tomorrow.

Those corners look impacted to me, but glue maybe use a bit oversize screws too

I dunked one in a tub of motor oil, it still lit up but I didnt trust it anymore. It was immersed for only a few seconds. I think yours will be ok with a glue/rtv fix, then chuck once it dies in another 5 years.
